§ 1-15. Annexation of March 26, 1973.

  • The city council of the City of Selma, Alabama, hereby assents to the annexation to the City of Selma of the following described property:

    Commencing at a point on the north margin of U.S. Highway 80 which is 959.5 feet west of the intersection of said north margin with the east line of section 22, T 17 N, R 10 E, Dallas County, Alabama; thence run North 83 degrees 41 minutes West along the north margin of said highway for 300 feet; thence run at right angles North 6 degrees 19 minutes East for 658 feet to the point of beginning, and the present city limits line; thence run north along a line parallel to the east line of said Section 22 for 1,424.4 feet; thence run in an easterly direction at right angles for 1,175.2 feet to the east line of said Section 22; thence run southerly along said line for 1,555.4 feet, more or less, to a point on the east margin of Lincoln Drive and intersecting with the projection of the north line of Block A, as shown on map of Sims Subdivision, Plat No. 2, recorded in Map Book 5, at Page 211, in the Probate Office of Dallas County, Alabama; thence run North 83 degrees 41 minutes West along the present city limits line and along the north line of Block A, Sims Subdivision, and along a continuation of said line for 1,183.1 feet to the point of beginning. And containing 40.19 acres, more or less.

    ALSO: All that part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ SOUTH of Fourmile Branch; and all that part of the S ½ of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ SOUTH of Fourmile Branch and Valley Creek; all in Section 14, T 17 N, R 10 E, Dallas County, Alabama, and containing 15.43 acres, more or less.

    The above described real estate be, and the same is, hereby annexed to the City of Selma and is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits of the City of Selma, Alabama.
